A few weeks ago, my friend Maria from Locketship commissioned some portraits from me– her endgame was to use them as jewelry and tie displays for trade and craft shows. I was instantly cute-ed out by this idea…and so of course, I said yes!
Maria gave me a ton of freedom: she wanted two gals and a guy, and pastel colors. Other than that, I just went for it! It was a candy colored dream come true.

Even though my hair is back to mouse brown, I’m still perpetually fixated on unnatural colored hair. Perhaps these portraits are some sort of glimpse into the future of….my noggin?!
Maria posted these on the Locketship Instagram a few days ago. It’s the debut of the displays at their first trade show! As soon as I saw them, I texted Maria like a proud mama. It was so exciting to finally see them in action, all dressed up in their Locketship finery!

Holy crap that is awesome work and such a great idea. I might have to commission you in the future to make a portrait hanger of myself so I can see myself wearing my dresses. HA HA!

Damn, girl, these are awesome. And such a freaking genius idea — you know that the alluring aesthetic of your art is going to draw a zillion more eyes to her jewelry than to anybody else’s.
