What I Wore: 10.11.11

There comes a time in every young ladies’ life when she doesn’t want to take a shower.

I found this amazing lace dress downstairs in our apartment building, in the free giveaway pile. Who would toss such a Stevie Nicks-ish dress?! I’m just really thankful it fit! Major witchy gypsy vibes. Kinda dying over the mermaid hemline.

I read somewhere that if you match your tights to your shoes, you give yourself the illusion of height. I don’t know how that works with a longer hemline, but I sure do like matching!

I love, love, love this red lipstick. It’s been on me pretty much 24/7 since receiving it. Dark berry reds make me feel like Courtney Love and Drew Barrymore.

Shoes: No brand name, $6 at Goodwill on La Brea

Glasses: Mens department at Forever 21 (they have the best accessories in the store!)

Lipstick: Lime Crime in Glamour 101 (quite possibly my favorite!)

I am definitely not punk rock, but these glasses and jacket reminded me of this dialogue from Ghost World that always cracks me up:

Rebecca: Can we go now?
Enid: You know, it’s not like I’m some modern punk, dickhead! It’s obviously a 1977 original punk rock look, but I guess Johnny Fuckface over there is too stupid to realize it!
Rebecca: I didn’t really get it either.
Enid: Everyone’s too stupid!
